Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed a savings and loan Saturday morning in Thousand Oaks.
At 10:50 a.m., a man entered the Hawthorne Savings & Loan branch in the 900 block of South Westlake Boulevard and handed a teller a note demanding money. The suspect implied that he had a gun, but no weapon was seen, said Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Ray Nagel.
The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect fled out the front door. He is described as in his 30s, white, 6-foot-1, 200 pounds and unshaven. He was wearing a green jacket, blue baseball cap and blue jeans.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department’s Major Crimes Unit at 494-8201.
